What we do
Tyndale House is a residential, Cambridge-based research centre, home to one of the world’s most advanced libraries for biblical scholarship. For over eighty years, we have been bringing together outstanding Christian researchers from around the world with the aim of promoting Bible understanding in the Church and beyond. Our vision is to see a world that takes the Bible seriously.
At our core is a community of researchers, who study the Bible at the highest level and work together to advance their own scholarship and enrich others’ understanding of Scripture. We make this research accessible to all through our popular-level resources: articles, interviews, podcast episodes and in house magazine.
What we offer
Our facilities include a world-class library, study spaces, and accommodation for those working in biblical scholarship or related disciplines at postgraduate or higher level. We’re located just five minutes from Cambridge University’s Divinity Faculty and eight minutes from the University Library
Whether you are staying on site or elsewhere, we foster a deep sense of community amongst our researchers, through our daily coffee times, weekly chapel and other onsite activities. This sense of community is central to our work as it enables scholars to share ideas and support one another in their studies.
We also run a year-round programme for international scholars who would like to use our facilities but live in parts of the world which are particularly under resourced. You can find out more about our International Scholars Programme.

Join our Mission
Tyndale House exists to serve the global church by advancing trust and understanding of the Bible. Everything we do is shaped by a passion to help Christians engage more deeply with Scripture, whether through world-class research, training emerging scholars, or sharing biblical insights with the church and beyond.
Every gift, whether regular or one-off, brings us closer to our vision of a world that takes the Bible seriously. The opportunity is great; the impact is eternal.
